Job description

Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people's lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

Docusign is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Legal Operations Analyst - Legal Technology Advocacy & Operations to join our forward-thinking Legal department. This is a unique, hybrid role that sits at the intersection of legal operations, product development, strategic communications, and product marketing. At Docusign, our Legal department is far more than just a traditional in-house legal team. We are active thought leaders in the industry, partners to our Go-To-Market team in evangelizing about our Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) suite, and close collaborators with Product and Engineering to co-build world-class legal technology. As a Legal Operations Analyst, you will be the operational backbone that makes this highly critical, cross-functional work possible, driving the success of our department's ambitious plan to re-shape the modern legal department. You will support Docusign lawyers and legal operations professionals as they engage directly with customer and prospect legal teams (General Counsel, Legal Ops, and in-house counsel) to champion and help sell our IAM solutions. You will blend a deep fluency in legal technology with exceptional marketing and operational chops to help translate the technical power of Docusign IAM into a compelling value proposition tailored specifically for the legal persona.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Legal Operations.

Responsibility

  • Support legal leaders as they engage with customers and prospects and prepare comprehensive customer intelligence, detailed briefing documents, communications and strategic talking points to ensure successful peer-to-peer technical sales conversations

  • Be the expert on the Docusign Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform and you will curate compelling content and messaging for our customers and prospects

  • Partner closely with the Marketing team to co-develop pitch-perfect, highly tailored messaging directed to the legal persona (legal operations and in-house lawyers)

  • Translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with our customers and prospects

  • Leverage cutting-edge legal technology capabilities, including Docusign's, by designing, building, and deploying automated agentic solutions to streamline operations and showcase the practical power of IAM

  • Draft and curate effective enablement materials, collateral, and case studies that empower Docusign's broader sales organization to effectively sell our IAM legal tech suite to discerning legal buyers

  • Act as the operational engine for the outreach program to build, optimize, and maintain the workflows, schedules, tracking mechanisms, and cross-functional processes required to scale our highly successful peer-to-peer program smoothly

  • Serve as the dedicated legal lead for industry conferences and internal executive roundtables and develop the strategic narrative for Docusign's legal presence, collaborate with Marketing and Sales on high-touch engagement tactics (e.g., executive dinners, peer-to-peer roundtables), and analyze event performance to drive continuous improvement in our outreach strategy

  • Maintain a deep, fluent understanding of the legal technology landscape, industry trends, and in-house legal and legal operations pain points to ensure Docusign's outreach remains authoritative and impactful

  • Serve as a critical bridge between Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align messaging and share insights gathered from direct customer-legal interactions

Job Designation

Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) (Note: A J.D. is not required for this role)

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Experience in operations, legal operations, or program management. You must be super dynamic, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with the legal technology industry, modern legal operations tools, and the specific workflow pain points faced by corporate legal departments

  • Experience building and deploying digital agents or advanced automated workflows

  • Experience advising, preparing, and collaborating with senior legal executives and cross-functional leadership teams

  • Experience helping colleagues and stakeholders adopt new tools and processes

  • Experience effectively communicating complex technical and legal concepts to diverse audiences, including legal and commercial teams, and fostering cross-functional collaboration

Preferred

  • Outstanding writing and drafting skills with a proven track record of creating effective corporate messaging, marketing content, or executive briefing materials. You love to jump on a call with a customer and talk about how IAM can solve their real-world problems

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, with the ability to look at a product through the lens of a specific buyer persona (the in-house lawyer) and craft messaging that resonates with them

  • Experience with commercial contracting processes (both customer and supplier)
