Roberts Oxygen, a trusted name in industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, is seeking a Fleet Clerk to join our headquarters in Rockville, MD.

The ideal Fleet Clerk provides excellent customer service and support to the Fleet Manager and Operations team in day-to-day department tasks. The Clerk assists with asset coordination and compliance activities to ensure Federal, State, and local regulations are met, while providing reliable and responsive support to branches and operations teams. Responsibilities include administrative organization, management of invoices, administering systems such as Fleet Telematics, fuel cards, and Best Pass.
Requirements
Responsibilities and requirements will include but are not limited to:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years' experience in an administrative support role, with experience supporting drivers and/or fleet operations preferred
  • Understanding of DOT requirements required; experience in compliance support preferred
  • Strong computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Windows environment and able to learn new programs with little to no prior training) and ability to use and operate within inventory replenishment and accounting software without difficulty a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a rapid pace with numerous interruptions and cope with stressful conditions
  • Ability to develop a basic understanding of the welding and related processes that are used by the customers served by the company
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
