Position Summary

The Hockey Coordinator will oversee the hockey events at Liberty First Credit Union Arena during the week and weekends. 

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$16.00

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until August 28, 2026

About the Venue

Located in Ralston Nebraska, the Liberty First Credit Union Arena is home to the Omaha Beef football team and the Omaha Lancers hockey club. It is a versatile venue that offers a wide range of entertainment with sports, concerts, fairs, and conventions. Liberty First Credit Union Arena also offers a wide variety of skating to the community, such as tournaments, public sessions, and private rentals with our full-size NHL sheet of ice, located in the Community Rink.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the nightly hockey events at Ralston Arena.
  • Directly coaches players and spectators.
  • Answer questions.
  • Take payments for ice rentals as needed.
  • Keep patrons out of restricted areas of the venue.
  • Coordinate times, ice cleans, and special needs/requests with the Zamboni Driver.
  • Lock up the building at the end of each night.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with hockey, sports teams, and/or events.
  • Ability to interact with the public with people of all ages.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Self-motivated and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work evenings/nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Knowledge/experience driving Zamboni preferred but not required.
