Job Summary: We are seeking an Installation Technician to join our team at Fireplace Showcase. In this role, you will travel to customers homes deliver, install and set up new fireplaces, grills and swing sets. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and has the technical skills to get the job done. Customer satisfaction is a top priority.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Greet customers in their homes to complete installation. Ability to read and understand technical manuals and installation instructions. Educate customers and answer questions relative to products, maintenance issues, and repairs. Stay within industry/unit compliance and safety standards. Follow appointments scheduled by the installer scheduler/office. Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers. Must be organized and maintain a clean, efficient workspace, as well as prepare for daily work jobs.
Required Qualifications: An individual who is focused, reliable, organized, and motivated. A willingness to learn. Some construction/trades experience. An ability to build rapport with clients and co-workers; a team player. Familiar with hand tools and hand-held power tools. Comfortable on roofs and ladders. Problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot. Capable of lifting 80+ pounds. Has a good driving record and valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with carpentry, HVAC, construction, electric and mechanical skills. A background in the hearth industry, although we are happy to train and provide education around our products. Previous experience in mechanical repair or customer service.
