About the Role:
Newtown Fireplace Shop is looking for a skilled and dependable Fireplace Service Technician to join our team in Newtown, PA! In this hands-on role, you'll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fireplaces safe, efficient, and beautiful. If you love working with your hands and take pride in delivering top-notch service, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on gas, wood-burning, and electric fireplace systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot fireplace and chimney issues to ensure safe and proper operation
  • Install fireplace inserts, gas logs, and related components per manufacturer specifications
  • Conduct chimney cleaning, venting inspections, and flue assessments
  • Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly to customers
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in fireplace service, HVAC, chimney sweeping, or a related trade preferred
  • Knowledge of gas, wood-burning, and/or electric fireplace systems
  • NFI (National Fireplace Institute) certification is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage a schedule, and prioritize tasks efficiently
