This is a hands-on, paid apprenticeship with on-the-job training, mentorship from certified professionals, and a clear path toward certification and advancement.

What Youll Do
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Clean and prepare work vehicles and equipment
  • Organize tools, mix mortar, and prep/break down job sites
  • Lift and move brick, stone, and materials
  • Set up and safely use ladders, scaffolding, and fall-protection equipment
  • Work on the ground, ladders, roofs of varying heights and pitches, and scaffolding
  • Assist both the Chimney Sweep Division, Masonry Division, and Fireplace Installation Division as needed
  • Work closely with certified chimney sweeps while receiving hands-on training
  • Study and train toward chimney sweep certification
  • Progress toward managing your own service route
What Were Looking For
Qualified candidates must:
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be comfortable working at heights
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Have reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Hold a valid Illinois drivers license
  • Pass a background check
  • Have strong people skills and a professional attitude
  • Be punctual, dependable, and safety-minded
