Position Overview

We are seeking a Fire Protection Estimator to support commercial and industrial construction projects through accurate cost analysis, project takeoffs, and proposal development. This role is responsible for reviewing construction documents, evaluating project requirements, and preparing detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates for fire protection systems.

The ideal candidate has experience analyzing plans and specifications, coordinating with vendors and project teams, and developing competitive estimates that support successful project execution. This individual will play an important role in securing new business, maintaining estimating accuracy, and ensuring smooth project handoffs to operations teams.

Our client is a leading mechanical and specialty contracting organization that delivers fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, piping, fabrication, and mission-critical construction solutions. With a reputation for quality, safety, and technical expertise, the company supports a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and high-performance facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, bid documents, and other construction-related documentation
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for fire protection systems
  • Utilize estimating software and internal pricing tools to prepare accurate project bids
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering, and operations teams during the estimating process
  • Prepare bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation
