Job Opportunity Financial Planning and Analysis Lead


I am currently representing a major player in the energy sector who is looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join their refining operations in Toledo. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing site wide financial health, including operating costs, utility expenses, and large scale capital projects.


The successful candidate will act as a key business partner to leadership and various functional departments. You will be responsible for creating insightful dashboards and reporting tools that drive strategic decision making. Your work will directly impact the facilitys budgeting, forecasting, and long term financial performance management.


Core Responsibilities


Execute comprehensive financial management activities including performance reporting and cost governance.


Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve financial transparency.


Manage the development and analysis of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.


Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify and explain business performance drivers.


Support the refinery leadership team with high level business planning and expenditure oversight.


Required Qualifications


Legal authorization to work in the United States.


Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related technical field such as Engineering.


Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in FP and A, cost management, or business partnering.


Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.


Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
