Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting activities, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple operating units. This is a full-time, in-office position responsible for maintaining accurate financial data and providing analytical support used in decision-making.
As Accounting Analyst, you will contribute to month-end close processes, prepare and analyze financial and capital-related reports, support forecasting and variance analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate classification and reporting of financial information.
What You'll Do:
• Prepare and post journal entries, including depreciation, asset transfers, and dispositions
• Maintain accurate records and calculations for fixed assets and related accounts
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts during the month-end close process
• Prepare and analyze financial and capital expenditure reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Track, review, and classify construction-in-progress and project-related costs
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather, review, and validate financial data
• Assist with audit schedules and provide documentation as requested
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial reporting processes
What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, audit, or a related role
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Advanced Excel skills with experience working with large datasets
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management
• Experience working with accounting or financial reporting systems is preferred
