Job description

Finance Analyst

The Finance Analyst supports business operations by partnering with mine management and senior leadership. This role is responsible for core accounting activities, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, management and financial reporting, and maintaining effective internal controls.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post accounting entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Develop and support the annual budget and monthly forecast processes.
  • Prepare reports and supporting schedules for internal and external audits, as needed.
  • Present monthly financial and operational reports to management.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with finance team members and cross-functional business leaders to support operational and financial objectives.
  • Partner with finance leadership to develop financial plans that support operational performance and organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant experience preparing reports for a variety of business stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to process, accuracy, and presentation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Typical Physical Demands
