Responsibilities may include helping with equipment setup, supporting administrative tasks, running errands, assisting with editing, and observing production meetings. The role is designed to give interns exposure to different aspects of filmmaking, from pre-production to post-production. Film Interns often work closely with professionals, providing a valuable learning opportunity and a way to build industry contacts.

What types of projects and tasks can a film intern expect to work on during their internship?

As a Film Intern, you will likely be involved in a wide variety of hands-on tasks, such as assisting with equipment setup, helping organize and manage production schedules, supporting pre-production activities, and occasionally working on set during filming. Job description

Position Overview

The TikTok Content & Marketing Intern will support NOW Hospitality's social media presence by developing engaging, brand-aligned TikTok content for Brienzo's Pizza + Bar locations in Peoria Heights, Peoria, and East Peoria. This role will be responsible for planning, filming, editing, and coordinating TikTok content while actively engaging with the online community and contributing new promotional ideas. The ideal candidate is creative, comfortable working on-site with restaurant employees and guests, knowledgeable about TikTok trends, and able to manage content through a structured review and approval process.

Content Development and Management

The intern will:

  • Develop and maintain a monthly TikTok content calendar featuring a minimum of fourteen (14) videos per month.
  • Plan a balanced mix of content, including food and beverage features, employee spotlights, behind-the-scenes moments, restaurant experiences, promotions, events, trends, and community-focused content.
  • Present the upcoming content calendar to the Marketing Manager for review before production and posting.
  • Coordinate, film, and edit short-form videos for TikTok in a style that is engaging, current, and consistent with the Brienzo's brand.
  • Write captions, select relevant hashtags, recommend trending sounds, and prepare all other elements required for each post.
  • Submit completed content for approval by Creative Team no later than one (1) week before its scheduled posting date.
  • Incorporate requested revisions and obtain final approval before any content is published.
  • Refrain from posting unapproved content or making material changes to approved content without authorization.
  • Maintain an organized content library containing raw footage, edited videos, captions, approvals, and final published files.
Community Management

The intern will monitor the Brienzo's TikTok account and respond to comments, questions, and general feedback in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.

Responses must reflect the Brienzo's brand voice. Any complaint, sensitive concern, refund request, media inquiry, employment question, or potentially damaging comment must be escalated to the Marketing Manager before a response is posted. The intern may not make commitments, issue refunds, disclose internal information, or speak on behalf of management without approval.

On-Site Content Production

Content may be produced at the following Brienzo's locations:

  • Peoria Heights
  • Peoria
  • East Peoria

The intern will coordinate filming schedules with the Marketing Manager, general managers, and participating employees. Filming should be planned in advance whenever possible to avoid disrupting restaurant operations or the guest experience.

The intern is expected to:

  • Communicate filming needs and concepts before arriving at a location.
  • Arrive prepared with a shot list, content plan, and any necessary equipment or props.
  • Receive permission before featuring employees or guests in content.
  • Follow all restaurant safety, sanitation, dress, and conduct expectations while filming on-site.
  • Work respectfully with employees and managers participating in content.
Strategy and "Big Ideas"

In addition to recurring TikTok content, the intern will develop and present at least two (2) larger marketing ideas each month.

Ideas may include:

  • In-store promotions
  • Social media activations
  • Limited-time offers
  • Contests or giveaways
  • Community partnerships
  • Restaurant events
  • Employee-led content series
  • Seasonal campaigns
  • Guest engagement opportunities
  • Concepts designed to increase visits, participation, or brand awareness

Each idea should include a brief overview of the concept, its intended audience, the business or marketing objective, how it would work, the resources required, recommended timing, and how it could be promoted through TikTok or other social channels.

Submission of an idea does not authorize the intern to launch or promote it. All concepts must receive management approval before development or execution.

Meetings and Communication

The intern will attend one weekly meeting with the Marketing Manager. Meetings will be used to:

  • Review the upcoming content calendar.
  • Discuss production and posting schedules.
  • Review content awaiting approval.
  • Evaluate recently published content.
  • Discuss audience engagement and performance.
  • Present new ideas and trend opportunities.
  • Identify scheduling, production, or approval needs.

The intern is responsible for communicating delays, scheduling conflicts, content concerns, or approval needs as early as possible.

Performance and Reporting

The intern will provide a brief monthly performance summary that includes:

  • Number of videos produced and published
  • Views and reach
  • Likes, comments, and shares
  • Follower growth
  • Top-performing content
  • Audience feedback or recurring questions
  • Recommended adjustments for the following month

Performance will be evaluated based on consistency, creativity, professionalism, adherence to deadlines, responsiveness to feedback, brand alignment, and completion of the agreed-upon monthly deliverables.

Monthly Deliverables

At a minimum, the intern will provide:

  1. One monthly TikTok content calendar.
  2. Fourteen (14) completed TikTok videos per month.
  3. Captions, hashtags, sounds, and posting recommendations for each video.
  4. Timely monitoring and management of TikTok comments.
  5. Two (2) larger marketing or promotional concepts per month.
  6. One brief monthly TikTok performance summary.
  7. Organized delivery of raw footage and completed content files.
Content Ownership and Confidentiality

All content created as part of the internship-including concepts, calendars, footage, drafts, captions, edited videos, and final files-must be submitted to NOW Hospitality and stored in the designated shared location. Account credentials, business information, internal conversations, unreleased promotions, employee information, and performance data must be kept confidential.

The intern may not use, distribute, republish, or include company content in a personal portfolio without prior written permission.
