The Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing transportation, logistics, and field operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and reliable service delivery. This role manages route planning, resource allocation, and supply chain coordination while maintaining control of operational expenses and ensuring alignment with customer requirements. The position serves as a key point of contact for clients, supporting account management and ensuring clear, responsive communication.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Field Operations Manager leads a team of 10-30 employees across multiple shifts, driving performance through strong leadership, training, and ongoing coaching. This role emphasizes maintaining high standards for safety, compliance, and operational excellence, including auditing field practices and reinforcing safe work behaviors. The manager is also responsible for fostering team morale, addressing challenges, and promoting a positive work environment. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Prior supervisory or people-leadership experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Required Skills & Experience (Must - Haves)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet, transportation, or logistics within the Oil & Gas services industry, third-party logistics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support business operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn and navigate internal business systems
  • Proven track record of professional ethics, effective time management, multitasking, adaptability, and self-motivation
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-resolution capabilities
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

  • Experience with related chemicals and logistics. routing, or third-party logistics
  • Oilfield experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience managing budgets, OPEX, and cost controls
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working directly with customers

Job Duties:
  • Develop and optimize route planning and load scheduling for multi-stop deliveries to ensure efficiency and service reliability
  • Manage and monitor monthly operating expenses (OPEX) to maintain cost control and financial performance
  • Oversee and direct all transportation operations to ensure safe, timely, and compliant service delivery
  • Allocate, track, and document resources and operational movements to support accurate reporting and planning
  • Manage customer accounts, ensuring service expectations are met and strong relationships are maintained
  • Coordinate delivery scheduling through MRP systems and serve as a liaison between operations and customers
  • Ensure effective collaboration across the supply chain to maintain seamless and efficient operational workflows
