Position Description:
Builds automation pipelines using DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Crafts and maintains testing frameworks including Selenium (TestNG), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) Cucumber, and Cypress, following Agile/Scrum methodology. Designs and develops automated tests and software tools using programming language -- Java or JavaScript, Rest Assured, Jenkins, and SQL databases, as well as Web services testing concept. Designs, develops, documents, and maintains automated tests and automation framework, adhering to established software engineering best practices and standards. Improves the maintainability of the automation platform and applies test-driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Communicates with stakeholders and other senior leaders in the domain area.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving software automation test solutions in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving software automation test solutions in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing automation frameworks -- Test-Driven Development (TDD) framework (using Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, and Java) and BDD framework (using Cucumber); developing User Interface (UI) automated test using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Junit, and Cucumber; and developing Application Programming Interface (API) automated tests using Rest Assured, Java, SQL, and Postman.
  • DE creating and maintaining automation test scripts, conducting functional integration, regression, User Acceptance (UA) tests, and quality assurance testing of software systems to ensure reliability and performance, using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Rest Assured, Cypress, and Cucumber; and performing automated testing of front-end, UI, Web services, and back-end digital platform applications to validate responsive UI designs.
  • DE building Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automated test suite pipelines performing quality gates enforcement based on test code coverage and quality; achieving delivery, efficiency, and agility in the deployment of software applications, using Junit and SonarQube; and integrating them with DevOps systems jobs and automation status result dashboards, using automated DevOps processes -- Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory.
  • DE testing and delivering products, providing technical solutions for automation issues, and delivering consistent value to stakeholders in Agile model environment, using Sprint and Kanban Boards in JIRA.
