Position Description:
Develops complex cloud-based application architectures in Agile development environments, leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), Application Load Balancer (ALB), and Amazon Route 53). Modernizes distributed applications using containerization technologies (Docker) and deploys services through REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Develops and implements automated test cases using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) frameworks. Implements Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure system consistency. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develops innovative technical solutions to support ongoing development efforts.
  • Designs applications and subsystems for major projects across multiple platforms.
  • Creates applications for multiple projects aligned with divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and executes all phases of testing through implementation.
  • Assists in planning and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Prepares comprehensive documentation for applications supporting corporate initiatives.
  • Performs post-installation testing and resolves identified issues.
  • Establishes project plans for initiatives of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments, often spanning multiple project phases.
  • Conducts independent and advanced technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing cloud-based software in a financial services environment, using AWS cloud technologies.
Or alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent), and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing cloud-based software in a financial services environment using AWS cloud technologies.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and developing cloud applications and platforms in AWS and Azure using API Gateways, serverless functions (Lambda, Step Functions, and Azure Functions), and core services including S3, RDS, DynamoDB, EC2, and EKS.
  • DE building automated CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Concourse to streamline infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
  • DE implementing observability practices with Splunk and Datadog to monitor system performance, reliability, Service Level Indicator (SLIs), and operational Metrics.
  • DE developing, deploying, and supporting scalable, secure Java/JavaScript applications; applying Agile methodologies across the full SDLC; and maintaining containerized, multi-cloud, multi-region deployments with automated rollback strategies.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles.
