At the core, our Simulations are distributed real-time applications. The Visualisation & Extended Reality Teams' responsibilities include the development and integration of visualisation solutions (Image Generators), the development and integration of VR, AR, MR software and hardware as well as the tooling, interfaces and databases belonging to those technologies.We are looking for a experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer contributing to the design, development, integration and testing activities of software components related to the Image Generator, more precisely the interfaces to the simulation (IG Host) and fully integrated toolchains to create and maintain (Visual) Databases from tactical-, geo- and 3D-data. Here, you can enjoy the quality of life in the countryside while the pleasures of near-by cities are still within easy reach.**Your benefits**Attractive salary including holiday pay, Christmas bonus and profit sharing30 days holidays and extra days-off for special occasionsExcellent upskilling opportunities and great development prospectsSpecial benefits: employer-funded pension, employee stock options, discounted car leasing, special conditions for insurances, public transport subsidy, discounts at local businessesOn-site-facilities: Medical officer for check-ups and other health-related services, canteen and cafeteria, kindergarten nearby**Your tasks and responsibilities*** Design and develop the software architecture for visualisation or database preparation building blocks and functionalities* Derive system requirements or user stories from operational requirements for new functionalities of Engineering and Training Simulation systems or subsystems* Drive our software development methodologies, toolchains and workflows.* Perform Code Reviews and support the individual development of our software developer community.* Evaluate and integrate visualisation solutions and develop our in-house visual interface (mainly C++)* Create tools for improving our development processes (e.g. CI/CD pipelines, code generators, test automation)* Integrate the developed components with the overall Simulator systems and Image Generator software* Create and perform automated unit and automated or manual subsystem tests of our software building blocks* Documentation of the appropriate software modules**Desired skills and qualifications*** Master in computer science, games engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline* At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in software development and architectural design with a proven track record* Interest in flight simulators, visualisation technology, software development and integration* Knowledge of object orientated programming and scripting languages, in particular C/C++ and python. Other languages would be a plus* Experience with development and maintenance of DevOps/CI/CD solutions* Very good English knowledge, German language proficiency would be a plus* Agile Development Methodologies* Analytical & structured thinking* Aeronautical background and/or experience with simulators, synthetic environments, geodata (especially OGC CDB) and/or visual systems (Image Generators) would be a plusThis position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.Not a 100% match?
