Job description

Position Description:
Delivers high quality software applications using Java and Python. Works with both functional and regression testing including test automation following Agile methodologies (Kanban). Builds automation pipelines using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud technologies, DevOps, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools -- Git and Jenkins. Conducts Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) and data migration testing, using SQL. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develops Test Automation Framework and build utilities to enable application verification.
  • Maintains and updates test automation scripts for maintainability.
  • Refactor Test Scripts and Tests to ensure application tests reflects accuracy.
  • Performs Regression & Functional Test Automation runs for applications.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Develops Integrated Test Plan and Strategy for complex applications.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) testing the automation of online transaction processing applications, using Java, TestNg, Rest-Assured, and Maven.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) testing the automation of online transaction processing applications, using Java, TestNg, Rest-Assured, and Maven.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing automation frameworks and developing automation scripts for Web or Mobile (Android and IOS) based applications and RESTful Application Programming Interface (API) services, using Java, Cucumber, Rest-Assured, SQL, TestNg, and JUnit frameworks.
  • DE validating JSON and XML responses with http response status codes, using Selenium (Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid), RestAssured, Maven, JUnit, TestNG, GIT, and Cucumber Behavior Driven Development (BDD) framework, according to Agile methodologies.
  • DE building CI/CD pipelines to achieve efficiency, performance, and agility, using automated DevOps processes and Jenkins, Maven, GIT, and Sonar (for deployment of software applications).
  • DE designing, developing, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts by writing Object-Oriented (OO) programs, using Java.

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles.
