Description:

The National FFA Organization is seeking college students or recent graduates pursuing degrees in journalism, communications, marketing, agricultural communications, public relations, or a closely related field to help capture and share the energy of the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo, Oct. 21-24, 2026, in Indianapolis.


As an FFA Social Media Content Creator Intern, you will be at the heart of the action โ€” creating quick-turn, dynamic video content that highlights the stories, celebrations, and behind-the-scenes moments from one of the largest student conventions in the country. You will have access to a fast-paced, professional environment while building an impressive portfolio of real-world social media content distributed to the organizationโ€™s audience of more than a million members and supporters.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shoot, edit and post engaging short-form videos (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikToks) daily from the events with a fast turnaround.
  • Utilize trending sounds, formats, and social media trends to create relatable and viral content.
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative content ideas to the social media manager aligned with the eventโ€™s major themes.
  • Collaborate with the National FFA social media team to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Create a minimum of four short-form videos per day optimized for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

Qualifications:

  • Experience filming and editing short-form video content on mobile.
  • Proficiency with mobile editing apps (e.g., CapCut, InShot, Adobe Rush) and basic desktop editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (especially Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook Reels) and trending formats.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable being both behind the camera and occasionally in front of it if needed.
  • Prior knowledge of FFA or agriculture is a plus but not required.

Additional Details:

  • Must be available in Indianapolis from Monday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026.
  • Travel expenses (airfare, hotel) and meals will be covered by the National FFA Organization.
  • A $500 project stipend will be provided.
  • This opportunity may be eligible for college credit (please coordinate with your academic advisor).

ยท Must be able to navigate the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium to conduct interviews and create content, which may involve extended periods of walking, standing, and carrying equipment.
