Job Summary:
Vantage Point Consulting Inc. is seeking a skilled Test Engineer with a strong background in regression testing and debugging to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will conduct regression testing, manage defects, and verify resolutions within the context of 4G and 5G production network architecture.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct FFA and services regression testing to ensure software quality and performance.
• Utilize knowledge of 4G and 5G production network architecture to inform testing strategies.
• Define and implement alternative test strategies to isolate and identify root causes of defects.
• Perform verification and retesting to confirm that identified problems have been resolved.
• Manage defect tracking, including documenting, prioritizing, and following up on defects until resolution.
• Provide guidance on trace capture and filter criteria using tools such as IRIS and Radcomm.
• Follow established test methodologies for additional tracing required for further isolation of issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proven experience in regression testing and debugging.
• Strong understanding of FFA and services regression testing.
• Familiarity with 4G and 5G network architectures.
• Experience in defect management, including tracking and resolution processes.
• Ability to define and implement alternative test strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on regression testing.
Preferred:
• Experience with test automation tools.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with performance testing and load testing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
