Conti LLC is a leading infrastructure contractor specializing in complex civil, roadway, and electrical construction projects. We partner closely with public agencies to deliver safe, high-quality transportation improvements across the region. We are currently seeking an experienced FDOT Roadway/Electrical Superintendent to support projects in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas.

Position Summary

The FDOT Roadway/Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations for FDOT roadway and electrical projects. This role involves managing crews, coordinating schedules, ensuring contract compliance, maintaining safety standards, and supporting project management through accurate documentation and production tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, supervise, train, and lead field crews on FDOT roadway and electrical projects
  • Coordinate crew schedules with management to service assigned construction sites
  • Maintain accurate as-built drawings for all supervised projects
  • Ensure crews comply with Conti LLC safety policies, OSHA regulations, and FDOT requirements
  • Ensure adherence to customer construction standards, specifications, and project plans
  • Review construction drawings with management to confirm plan accuracy and constructability
  • Assist management with field change orders and scope adjustments
  • Approve and verify daily time sheets for assigned crews
  • Verify daily and weekly production quantities and assist with production tracking
  • Participate in project meetings, safety meetings, and coordination meetings as required
  • Remain available and on-call for construction-related emergencies
  • Operate specialty equipment when required to support project needs
Required Knowledge & Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of FDOT roadway and electrical construction practices
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Lighting systems
    • Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
    • Signing and pavement markings
    • Traffic signalization systems
    • Tolling systems
  • Proven experience supervising crews on FDOT or similar DOT projects
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • CDL Class A preferred
