Job description

An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Transportation Engineer for their Columbus team!



Responsibilities:

  • Design/develop various types of roadway/highway improvement projects
  • Develop horizontal/vertical roadway/highway alignments, design modeling, and engineering calculations
  • Perform all aspects of roadway/highway design (drainage design, maintenance of traffic, pavement marking/striping and signing)
  • Prepare preliminary/detailed design plans, quantities, specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Use technical expertise for the development, evaluation, selection, and modification of standards engineering techniques/procedures
  • Occasional client and sub-consultant communication
  • Site visits periodically
  • Assist with Request for Information during construction phase


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience
  • PE License in Ohio or ability to obtain within six months
  • Experience using AASHTO, ODOT Design Criteria, and FDOT Design Criteria
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation, and Geopak
  • Experience using Open Roads preferred


Salary is commensurate with experience.
