CEI Inspector – Nashville, TN

Hourly Rate Range: $26 - $33/HR depending on experience and certifications

TTL is searching for an experienced CEI Inspector to join our Nashville team. This role will be responsible for performing construction engineering and inspection on roadway and bridge construction projects throughout Tennessee.

What You'll Do

  • Monitors, observes, and records the work performed daily on Roadway and Bridge construction projects
  • Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
  • Typical activities include but are not limited to: observation and monitoring grading operations, asphalt and concrete inspection, utility inspection, subgrade material inspection, and/or any additional roadway or bridge construction operation inspection

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4+ years of CE&I experience on TDOT or TDOT Local Programs projects


Required Certifications:

  • 10 Hour OSHA Construction Safety
  • Work Zone Safety Certification


Preferred Certifications*:

  • TDOT HMA Certified Roadway Technician
  • TDOT Asphalt Plant Technician
  • TDOT Certified Concrete Technician or ACI Grade 1
  • TDOT Hazardous Materials or APGNA Nuclear Gauge Safety or equivalent*
  • TDOT Soils and Aggregate Technician or equivalent*

*Can be obtained once employed at TTL


Other Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in SiteManager
  • Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment
