Project Manager | Transportation Engineer

Project Manager | Transportation Engineering | IDOT | PE License

(Also recruiting for Sr Project Engineer Transportation with 5+ years of exp $85-110K)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Transportation to lead and manage complex projects in roadway and transportation design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient design solutions that meet client expectations and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and design of Phase I and Phase II transportation projects, including roadway design and traffic modeling.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and compliance with IDOT regulations.
  • Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to inform design decisions.
  • Oversee the preparation of engineering documents and specifications for transportation projects.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
  • Facilitate communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of experience in transportation engineering and roadway design.
  • Knowledgeable of civil design software such as MicroStation and traffic modeling software like Synchro and Highway Capacity Software.
  • Familiarity with IDOT regulations and permitting processes.
  • Experience with Phase I and Phase II design phases, as well as roadway construction and rehabilitation projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
