Overview

Become a Farmers district manager. Independent business owners oversee all aspects of their business, including recruiting entrepreneurial‑minded individuals to own and operate an insurance agency, assisting profitable sales growth, supporting agency development, and driving overall district business results. Location: Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and support entrepreneurial‑minded individuals to own and operate an insurance agency.
  • Assist with profitable sales growth and agency development.
  • Drive overall district business results.
Qualifications
  • Drive and ability to own and operate own business with focus on supporting agency growth.
  • 5+ years of Property & Casualty or Financial Services sales experience (preferred).
  • Proven success driving business results in current and/or previous roles.
  • 5+ years of successful leadership experience including recruiting and developing sales professionals or business owners.
  • Ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to develop and coach successful business owners.
  • History of developing a local presence in community.
  • Proven track record for obtaining business results through effective relationships across business functions.
  • Ability to assess market conditions, trends, and indicators.
  • Knowledge of agent contracts and associated compliance experience.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory background check.
  • Obtain Property, Casualty, Life and Health licenses.
  • Obtain Series 6, 63 (where applicable) and 26 licenses.
  • Access to capital for start‑up – no start‑up fees payable to Farmers.
  • 4‑year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the University of Farmers® district manager training program.
  • Secure an acceptable office location.
