Job description

The Insurance Producer is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting the companys insurance products and services. This role focuses on identifying client needs, providing tailored coverage solutions, and maintaining a high level of customer service while achieving sales and revenue goals.

The Insurance Producer must be licensed with a property and casualty license to begin. We can provide licensing opportunities for interested candidates. The insurance producer will be selling home, auto, and commercial insurance after obtaining their property and casualty license. The producer will be required to obtain their life and health insurance licenses, which can be obtained after hire with the same opportunities to obtain your license available.


This position will start with significant cold calling, but there will be opportunities for networking, attendance at community events, and relationship building.


There are opportunities to grow within Farmer's, including owning your own agency, taking on roles within Farmer's corporate as well as opportunities in the insurance industry generally.


There is a base salary that is dependent on experience and can range from $2700 a month to $3200 a month plus commission opportunities, allowing candidates to earn $80,000 or more including base salary plus commissions.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Identify client risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance coverage solutions.
  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, marketing efforts, and community engagement.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Work closely with account managers and underwriting teams to ensure accurate policy placement and service.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to review coverage needs and provide policy updates.
  • Meet or exceed established sales and production goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends, carrier products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate client records and sales activity within the companys CRM system.

Requirements
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License; licensing assistance available - initial 30-day access to the licensing course.
  • Be willing to obtain life and health insurance licenses within six months of hire - licensing assistance available
  • Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and close new business.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales and performance targets.
