Job description

Bunzl Safety is seeking an Operations Coordinator for our facility in City of Industry, CA. The Operations Coordinator will play a pivotal role by overseeing and managing the order fulfillment process for five distinct businesses operating within our shared warehouse. The ideal candidate will ensure that system orders are efficiently allocated, printed, distributed, manifested, invoiced, and archived, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen focus on optimizing the flow of orders and directed work assignments to ensure timely and efficient customer delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee releasing of work through warehouse management system (WMS) waves based on order attributes and priorities
  • Systematically allocate inventory to customer orders ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Generate and print order documentation, including pick lists, packing slips, and any special compliance outbound labels
  • Coordinate the distribution of orders with warehouse team, ensuring that all items are accurately picked and packed
  • Manage the manifesting process, verifying that all shipments are correctly documented and ready for dispatch
  • Prepare and issue invoices for completed orders, working closely with the Finance department to ensure proper billing
  • Maintain a comprehensive archive of all order-related documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the order fulfillment cycle
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all order-related inquiries, providing exceptional service to both internal teams and external clients
  • Address any order delivery issues by troubleshooting and resolving with a great sense of urgency
  • Rate outbound freight using WMS system and schedule outbound carriers based on all modes of transportation, including customer scheduling portals
  • Troubleshoot issues with outbound directed work assignments
  • Communicate carrier pick-up issues to management

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience in third party logistics (3PL) distribution preferred
  • Administrative experience including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and works well in a team environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle challenging issues as they arise

Bunzl Safety California salary range is $24 -27 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location.
