Job description

Job Description: The Extraction Lab Manager will oversee and operate the extraction process in Marshall, MI for Highway Horticulture. This position will work closely with the Cultivation department to process our own biomass for extraction as well as source biomass from other cultivation facilities in need of extraction processing. Job Responsibilities: โ€ข Procure processing and lab equipment for closed-loop butane extraction
โ€ข Perform all extraction, extract processing, product formulation, filling and manufacturing procedures
โ€ข Create and follow Standard Operating Procedures for extraction production
โ€ข Oversee product packaging
โ€ข Seek out additional opportunities to perform extraction for other cultivation facilities
โ€ข Operate compliant with all government regulations, including OSHA, MRA and state requirements
โ€ข Create and track quality control measures to ensure consistent product
โ€ข Continually assess extraction operations to identify opportunities to enhance overall process efficiency and productivity
โ€ข Record data, weights and other key measurements throughout the extraction process
โ€ข Perform basic calibration, preventative maintenance and upkeep for extraction equipment
โ€ข Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety procedures
โ€ข Maintain records of all raw materials, finished products, and by-product in Metrc
โ€ข Maintain material safety data sheets for all solvents, chemicals and products
โ€ข Maintain inventory records, including extracted oil, plant material, solvents, chemicals, and equipment
Job Requirements: โ€ข Must be at least 21 years of age
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in the science field
โ€ข Experience managing extraction lab equipment and materials
โ€ข Experience working in a highly regulated environment
