Job description

IDEC Elevator Products, a division of Delaware Elevator, Inc. continues to grow—and we’re looking for an experienced External Sales Professional to join our team and help expand our presence across the United States.


If you’re an accomplished sales professional with a proven track record in commercial construction, manufacturing, building products, or a related industry, this is an opportunity to make an impact. You’ll work directly with customers, contractors, prospects, and industry partners while representing the trusted IDEC brand.

A minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience is required. Elevator industry experience is a strong plus.



WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build and maintain a strong, executable sales pipeline and provide monthly sales and pipeline reports.
  • Prepare competitive bids, proposals, and presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions from our manufacturing portfolio.
  • Develop relationships with contractors, customers, suppliers, and other key industry contacts.
  • Identify and qualify prospective buyers of elevator cabs, doors, and entrances through sales calls, lead follow-up, networking, and marketing strategies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of general mechanical and electrical applications.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales Management to strengthen the IDEC brand.
  • Maintain current awareness of planned construction projects, market opportunities, and bidding strategies.
  • Monitor competitors and develop an understanding of their products, strategies, and position within the market.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships that drive growth.
  • Represent IDEC with professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to ethical business practices.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of related sales experience with a proven sales history.
  • Commercial construction, manufacturing, building products, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Elevator industry knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote/field-based environment while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
