Express Service Writer

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being on the move? Chevrolet of Naperville is looking for an Express Service Writer to join our team. This role operates much like a pit lane at a NASCAR or Formula One race; fast-paced, highly organized, and focused on delivering exceptional results. We're looking for someone who can think quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, stay in constant motion, and communicate professionally with our guests. Instead of tire smoke, you'll leave a lasting impression through outstanding customer service and a welcoming smile!

This full-time role work four weekdays and Saturday's from 7:45AM-5:15PM! With one weekday off (Tuesday's/Flexible) and Sunday's off.

You Will…

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally in the express service lane
  • Write and manage repair orders for routine maintenance services
  • Communicate recommended maintenance and vehicle needs clearly to customers
  • Maintain strong service lane flow and minimize customer wait times
  • Coordinate with technicians and parts department to ensure efficient repairs
  • Provide accurate estimates and explain maintenance recommendations
  • Monitor vehicle status updates and proactively communicate with customers
  • Promote dealership maintenance programs, tire promotions, and specials
  • Assist with appointment scheduling and follow-up communication when needed
  • Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) performance standards

    • Previous automotive service advisor or customer service experience preferred
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
    • Basic automotive maintenance knowledge recommended (training available)
    • Reynolds & Reynolds software experience preferred
