Job Description

Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the organization's workforce by leading recruitment and talent acquisition efforts while assisting in the administration of core Human Resources functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and developing candidate pipelines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, workforce development organizations, and community partners to support staffing initiatives.
  • Administer a variety of Human Resources programs and services, including employee relations, benefits administration, training and development, performance management, and leave administration.
  • Coordinate and maintain HR records, systems, and administrative processes to ensure compliance and support employee lifecycle activities.
  • Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies, workplace issues, and performance-related matters.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to support business and workforce decisions.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of employee information within HRIS, timekeeping systems, and personnel records.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.
  • Stay current on employment laws, HR best practices, and industry trends.
  • Serve as a backup to the Human Resources Manager and provide support across all HR functions as needed.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with two (2) to four (4) years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and workforce management systems, such as Workday and UKG, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply that knowledge in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, training and development, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $55,000 to $75,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
