What is it…

The Experienced Leader Rotational Program (ELRP) is an accelerated development program designed to prepare high-potential talent to become strategic leaders responsible for operational excellence and business growth. Participants build deep capabilities in operations, finance, leadership, and sales through immersive, real-world assignments that expose them to the full spectrum of branch execution and customer value delivery.

The program is designed for emerging leaders with strong business acumen, mobility, entrepreneurial energy, and a desire to grow into key organizational leadership roles. Individuals must be able to relocate to selected Limbach company branches.

This Position…

ROTATION 1 - Leadership Assignment (9-12 Months)

Incumbent will be placed in a front-line leadership role (Operations Manager, General Manager or Vice President of Sales/Sales Manager), based on background, development, and company needs.

This rotation builds:

  • Operational discipline and project delivery fundamentals
  • Financial management (P&L, GP redemption, forecasting, cost control, cash flow)
  • Leadership and talent development
  • Customer-facing communication and executive presence
  • Cross functional collaboration between operations, ODR, sales, safety and field teams.
  • Situational decision-making and speed to action skills.

This rotation actively contributes to:

  • On-site customer engagement
  • Team leadership, culture and performance management
  • Coaching and resource planning.
  • Execution of branch-level strategy.
  • Understanding how branches deliver exceptional owner-direct service.

ROTATION 2 - Strategic Growth or Operational Initiative (9-12 Months)

Incumbent will lead or support a strategic project aligned with indispensable vision and priorities.

This rotation builds:

  • Strategic thinking.
  • Market analysis and business development.
  • Innovation and problem solving skills.
  • Intracompany influence, systems thinking, and national network development.
  • Ability to tie local operations to broader company goals and vision.

This rotation activity contributes to:

  • Developing or expanding new or existing vertical markets.
  • Enhancing or launching new or existing services or products.
  • Scaling underdevelopment or underresourced national offerings.
  • Improving operational processes or financial performance.
  • Implementing new customer facing initiatives or programs.
  • Team leadership, culture and performance management

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive initiatives aligned with the Company’s vision of becoming an indispensable partner to building owners with mission-critical systems.
  • Demonstrate leadership presence by engaging customers on-site, motivating teams, and collaborating across departments.
  • Analyze and manage financial performance, including cost management, cash flow, profitability, forecasting, and business planning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, service quality, sales effectiveness, and customer experience.
  • Help drive business growth through solutions selling and strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, leveraging network and communication skills to drive outcomes.
  • Flex into ambiguous, high-challenge environments and make confident decisions quickly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

What You Need…

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of related industry experience.
  • Ability to relocate for program rotations and for post-program placement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, or mentor others.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Comfort working in customer facing and operational environments.
  • High sense of urgency, adaptability, and resilience.
  • Capacity to leverage communication/interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, primarily to customer meetings and job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters of Business Administration.
  • Prior relocation, multi-site or acquisition experience.
  • Experience with owner-direct service models.
  • Exposure to project management, sales or operational leadership.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Work tasks may occasionally necessitate travel to local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.

    Physical Demands:

    • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
    • This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
