CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Assoc. Provost, Online Learning coordinates online academic programs, including guiding, developing, and continuously improving curricula and policies. The incumbent works with University leaders and external stakeholders to promote online student success in the furtherance of the institution's strategic academic goals.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Serves as the program expert on online academic programs, assessment, and accreditation.
2. Helps implement strategic plan goals and objectives related to online academic programming and offerings.
3. Directs and implements online educational initiatives for assigned division(s).
4. Oversees student advisement and promotes recruitment, retention, and diversity of student body and faculty.
5. Forms partnerships and represents the University to external entities to develop scholarship and cooperative opportunities.
6. Monitors online program review and ensures program compliance with accreditation requirements.
7. Prepares department budget and monitors resource allocation.
8. Provides guidance, oversight, and mentorship to department staff and faculty.
9. Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Creates an effective control environment, conducts risk assessment, implements, and monitors controls.
