Job description

Emerald is seeking an Account Executive to drive exhibit space, sponsorship, and year-round media sales for one of our leading live event brands. This is a full-cycle sales role focused on prospecting new business, growing existing accounts, and building long-term client partnerships.
The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder and closer who can align client goals with integrated event and media opportunities while delivering a high level of customer service and consistent revenue performance.
This position is based out of our New York, NY Broadway office.
Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue through new business development, upselling, and account retention across exhibit space, sponsorships, digital media, and year-round marketing opportunities.
  • Proactively prospect for new exhibitors, sponsors, and media partners while managing and growing assigned accounts.
  • Develop customized proposals and negotiate contracts aligned with client goals and brand objectives.
  • Accurately manage and forecast sales activity in Salesforce, maintaining detailed account and pipeline records.
  • Achieve assigned revenue, retention, and activity goals.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers to support long-term partnerships and repeat participation.
  • Stay informed on industry, media, and event trends, along with competitor activity and emerging exhibitor/sponsor categories.
  • Attend industry events and competitive shows as needed for business development and relationship building.

Qualifications
  • B2B sales experience across events, media, sponsorship, or integrated marketing partnerships.
  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and account retention.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM required.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a high level of accountability and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Target Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 plus Sales Incentive Plan eligible
Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate's qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
