Job Description
Manager, EP & Cardiac Cath Labs, Job, Full-time Shift, University of Chicago Medicine, Hyde Park, Illinois
Seeking an RN who has a strong Procedural background in a Cath lab or EP Lab setting. Leadership experience is preferred but not required.
The Manager has the responsibility and accountability for planning, organizing and directing all activities relating to patient care within the Cath and EP Procedural Departments. Responsibilities include directing the delivery of quality patient care and technologic advanced imaging in a financially responsible manner through collaboration with Cardiologists and other professional and support staff throughout the department and organization.
The Manager reports to the Executive Director and serves as a role model for staff by offering enhancement opportunities for continued growth; arranging for educational programs, assisting staff as they rotate through the unit and demonstrating knowledge of new products and equipment related to the specialty areas are all key activities the Manager will facilitate.

Required Qualifications:
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or equivalent subspecialty certification of accrediting body; including but not limited to RN, RCES, CEPS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in health care or business management or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Four years of experience in a either a high volume Cath and/or EP (2,000+ annual cases)
  • Two years minimum supervisory / management experience (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Achievement in developing, implementing, and maintaining successful customer service programs and improvements

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Business Administration, Master of Healthcare Administration or Master of Science in Nursing

Licenses/Certifications:
  • RN, CEPS, RCES and/or RCIS
  • BLS, ACLS
