Job description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Executive Protection Security Specialist. The Executive Protection Security Specialist is a security professional dedicated to the executive leadership floors of a high-profile customer building. The Executive Protection Security Specialist will mitigate risk and provide immediate response in the event of workplace violence or de-escalate any potential threat. This security professional will also assist with evacuations and medical emergencies for the executive leadership team.

Starting Pay $27.50 / hour

Must be 21 years of age and have at least 2 years of security experience

Must have a valid driver's license

Supervisory experience is beneficial to position

Full time hours Monday through Friday 2pm - 10pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patrol Client facilities and areas of concern as directed
  • Observe, identify, and report relevant security and safety concerns
  • Document incidents via written reports, pictures, and witness statements
  • Provide external security services-related activities as indicated by the client
  • Communicate and liaise with security staff and first responder personnel to address and mitigate security concerns
  • Respond to emergencies and perform security and medical operations, as needed
  • Engage, de-escalate, and report responses to Unwanted Public Interactions while providing security support services
  • Collect all items of evidentiary value and report the incident to law enforcement personnel as soon as possible as well as obtain and forward the report to the client, in the event of on an incident
  • Interact and communicate by being professional, proactive, personable, and responsive with the client, vendors, employees, and others to ensure client satisfaction
  • Support and execute other security projects as required and directed by the client
  • Responding to alarms/fire/panic calls immediately and promptly securing the safety and security of human life and physical property
  • Enhance the Physical Security and Executive Protection posture at the client’s headquarters
  • Provide and/or support security logistics for Executives as required
  • Provide close protection and other security-related functions for the Executives or employees at the Headquarters or other assignment locations
  • Detect and identify potential hostile actors or surveillance directed at executives, employees, company, or brand
  • Assist in performing protective advance planning and threat vulnerability assessments and document and brief Corporate Security leadership and/or stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a “D” License (guard certification) issued by the state of Florida
  • If prior law enforcement, Law Enforcement Certification
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement experience with federal, state, or local law enforcement agencies
    • Minimum of three (3) years full-time Executive Protections experience in a dynamic program
    • Prior security and/or Close Protection experience to include government, law enforcement, military, and/or private security
    • Law Enforcement (Task Force, Tactical Unit), military Special Operations, and/or High Threat Security Operations experience
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to work as an individual or member of a team
  • Must have excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
  • Able to work a flexible schedule and sometimes extended schedule during crisis periods, which may include weekends and holidays
  • Strong professional ethics and the ability to maintain trust
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One or more of the following professional certifications:
    • Personal Security Detail (PSD)
    • Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
    • Executive Protection Security (EPS)
  • Strong computer skills
