Executive Protection Professional

The Executive Protection (EP) Professional will collaborate closely with senior executive leadership and their teams through the One RTX EP lead on matters related to security and personal protection. In addition, domestic and international travel in this capacity is also required.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate schedules/itinerary for travel planning with the principal's executive assistant daily.
  • Drive primary and secondary routes in advance for all local venues.
  • Support flights in and out of Reagan International Airport as a TSA-Armed Security Officer.
  • Liaise with management, industry representatives, customers, and law enforcement for the organization on matters pertaining to executive protection, events, operations, and objectives.
  • Perform and execute the development of comprehensive physical security plans and employ methodologies in developing best practices in risk and vulnerability assessments that safeguard senior executive leadership.
  • Maintain company executive transport vehicles to include inspections, tracking vehicle accidents, delivery to dealership for repairs, replacements, and weekly washing and cleaning.
  • Provide security at company sponsored events. Supplement other members of the Physical Security organization as directed.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the successful candidate to obtain a Secret government clearance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in security operations, or like experience in the armed forces or with local law enforcement at the federal, state and/or local government level
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Possess, or be able to obtain, Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) certification
  • Possess, or be able to obtain, TSA Armed Security Officer (ASO) certification
  • Capable of working independently and adapting to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness and energy
  • Ability to adjust work schedule, often on short notice, to accommodate leadership schedule and security needs
  • Possess sound operational judgement and the flexibility to shift priorities to adjust to varying challenges
  • Positive attitude with a professional communication style and appearance
  • Maintain close liaison with government and industry security, law enforcement and intelligence professionals

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior experience in military or law enforcement, specifically conducting close protection and driving of VIPs
  • Tactical experience working on an active SWAT, SRT, or similar unit
  • Technical Security Counter Measure (TSCM) experience
  • Counter-intelligence experience
  • Experience collaborating with other businesses to develop and maintain progressive security programs
  • Prior training in firearms, defensive tactics, defensive/evasive driving, arrest techniques, and/or emergency medicine
  • Experience with workplace violence and/or threat management programs
  • Experience conducting Threat, Risk & Vulnerability Assessments
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with internal/external customers of all levels
