As a Probe Card Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., within Test Solutions Engineering (TSE), Key Equipment Group (KEG); you will be responsible for design, and qualification of probe cards enabling Micron's current and next generation products! You will provide probe card-related technical direction across all Micron global Probe locations. You will work internally with Test, Assembly, Design and Product Engineering teams and High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) site teams. You will collaborate with industry probe card suppliers and develop solutions enabling Micron's roadmap. A typical day in this position requires creativity, tenacity and innovation in the deployment of first-of-a-kind unique probe cards. Join our team and make a difference!

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design & Strategy:Own probe card design specifications, rules, and bond pad layouts to drive a zero-defect culture and enable device roadmap requirements.
  • Technology Qualification:Qualify "First of a Kind" (FOAK) technologies and define new equipment specifications to ensure manufacturing data meets performance targets.
  • Technical Problem Solving:De-bug pre-production issues and resolve tactical roadblocks through in-depth root-cause analysis and statistical data review.
  • Supplier & Site Management:Manage the global supplier base and lead cross-site meetings to align on technical requirements, quality, and operational adjustments.
  • Collaboration & Communication:Partner with internal peer groups and present technical insights to engineering leadership to drive cross-functional alignment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position must have:

  • Experience & Education:10+ years of hands-on probe card design experience; BS/AS degree or equivalent.
  • Technical Design:Strong grasp of analog circuits, component selection, SI/PI, and mechanical thermal properties (CTE matching).
  • Execution & Validation:Proficient in reading schematics/mechanical specs and hands-on validation using wafer test cells (Probers/Testers).
  • Analytical Tools:Mastery of 3D CAD software, statistics, data analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Professional Skills:Highly self-initiated with the ability to manage multiple concurrent designs and communicate complex technical data to leadership.

  • Advanced Analysis:Expertise inSI/PI, analog circuit component selection, andMaterial Science(thermal properties/CTE matching).
  • Global Leadership:Proven success leading technical design reviews and chairing meetings acrossglobal manufacturing sites.
  • Statistical Mastery:Expert-levelDOEand statistical analysis to align manufacturing data with device roadmaps.
