Probe Card Engineer

As a Probe Card Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., within Test Solutions Engineering (TSE), Key Equipment Group (KEG), you will support the development, qualification, and deployment of probe cards used to enable Micron's current and next-generation products.

You will work closely with internal teams across Test, Assembly, Design, Product Engineering, and High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM), as well as external probe card suppliers. This role provides an opportunity to build technical expertise while contributing to innovative probe solutions for advanced memory technologies.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support qualification of probe card technologies for new product introductions
  • Assist in developing and reviewing probe card design specifications and documentation
  • Participate in probe card design reviews with internal engineering teams
  • Work with probe card suppliers to address technical and quality issues
  • Support debugging of probe card-related issues through data analysis and root cause investigation
  • Assist in resolving probe card issues impacting production and technology readiness
  • Analyze probe card and manufacturing data to support performance improvements
Minimum Qualifications

Successful candidates for this position should have:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineeringor equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing or test processes (coursework or internship acceptable)
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Exposure to statistics or design of experiments (DOE) concepts
  • Demonstrated proficiency or willingness to develop proficiency in the use of AI-enabled tools to support data analysis, problem solving, and engineering workflows
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant employment experience is a plus
  • Relevant internships, academic projects, or lab experience in semiconductor, test, or hardware engineering is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in team environments
  • Motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering setting
