The Controller will oversee financial reporting, payroll, AR performance, cash flow visibility, audit coordination, and internal controls while serving as a strategic financial partner to executive leadership. This role requires both operational excellence and forward-thinking financial strategy, including banking relationship management, financial modeling, and strategic planning capabilities.

    • Analyze, assess, and approve capex requests per policy
    • Develop cash flow forecasting and financial visibility tools to maintain strong liquidity position
    • Maintain timely and accurate covenant reporting
  • Financial Planning and Annual Budget Execution
    • Develop and maintain accurate multi-year financial plans (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
    • Drive annual budgets ensuring alignment with strategic goals
    • Develop scenario models to support strategic decisions and capital investments
  • Strategic Partnership with CEO, President, and Banking Partners
    • Partner directly with executive leadership on financial performance, strategic planning, and business growth initiatives
    • Manage banking relationships and optimize credit facility utilization
    • Prepare comprehensive lender reporting, ensure covenant compliance, and maintain proactive communication with lending partners
  • Leadership and Development
    • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team
    • Oversee payroll, AR and AP
    • Develop departmental goals and expectations while maintaining accountability
    • Connect financials with operations, purchasing, and sales
    • Establish budget discipline and ensure actions are taken to drive results

Required Qualifications

  • Strong GAAP and accounting leadership background with strategic finance experience
  • Experience in operational or AR-intensive businesses, preferably in service industries
  • Proven cash flow and working capital management capability with strategic financial planning experience
  • Experience with managing banking relationships and credit facilities
  • Multi-entity experiences preferred
  • Proficiency with Sage (required)
  • CPA or CMA strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and accountability for results
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
