What We Are Looking For


Experience and Capability

  • Proven experience managing fleet operations across multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of vehicle lifecycle management, maintenance programs, DOT compliance, and vendor coordination
  • Working knowledge of IFTA reporting, IRP registration, and state/federal permitting requirements
  • Ability to manage fuel tax reporting, apportioned plates, and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ability to review, understand, and discuss vendor contracts (leasing, maintenance, fuel, insurance) with leadership
  • Comfortable communicating with executive leadership and providing clear recommendations backed by data


Hands-On Leadership

  • Willing to be in the field working directly with drivers and operations teams
  • Able to troubleshoot issues in real time, whether mechanical, logistical, or administrative
  • Not afraid to step in and handle tasks personally when needed

Operational Support and Communication

  • Works closely with Operations Managers and provides clear direction and support
  • Patient and able to guide teams through processes step by step
  • Willing to take on tasks directly when needed to ensure completion rather than relying on others

Organization and Process Improvement

  • Able to assess the current state of fleet operations and quickly implement structure
  • Builds and maintains systems for tracking maintenance, repairs, fuel usage, mileage, and compliance

  • Oversee all fleet operations including maintenance, repairs, inspections, and compliance
  • Manage IFTA reporting, IRP registrations, and all required permits across operating states
  • Ensure accurate mileage tracking, fuel reporting, and audit readiness
  • Develop and implement standardized fleet processes across all locations
  • Manage vendor relationships and service providers
  • Review and manage fleet-related contracts and expenses
  • Coordinate with insurance and claims as needed
  • Ensure all vehicles are safe, compliant, and operational
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for fleet performance and costs
  • Support operations teams and drivers with day-to-day fleet needs
