Public Area Cleaner / Housekeeping Associate
Good Labor Jobs is partnering with Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, VA to hire reliable and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaners / Housekeeping Associates. This is a great opportunity for candidates who take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming for members, guests, and staff.
  • Pay: $17.00/hour
  • Must speak English
    Payment Bi-Weekly
  • Shared housing: $100 weekly
  • 40-50 hours weekly
  • Holiday is paid at time and a half.
    Transportation is include, with housing located close to the shuttle route.
Job Summary
The Public Area Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas throughout the Club, including interior and exterior spaces. This position helps ensure that all areas remain clean, sanitary, safe, and presentable while responding to member and guest needs in a professional and courteous manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Public Area Cleaner, you will be responsible for:
  • Sweeping, dust mopping, and vacuuming floors throughout the Club
  • Cleaning exterior wooden and brick galleries around the buildings
  • Removing trash and replacing trash receptacle liners
  • Cleaning and sanitizing clubhouse bathrooms
  • Dusting baseboards, windowsills, pictures, vents, furniture, and fixtures
  • Washing mirrors and door windows
  • Cleaning the inside and outside of windows
  • Washing floor mats and rugs
  • Replenishing bathroom amenities such as soap, shampoo, and toilet paper
  • Polishing chrome and brass fixtures
  • Cleaning ceiling fans, light fixtures, and chandeliers
  • Restocking supplies in housekeeping workstations and closets
  • Resetting furniture to designated positions
  • Shampooing carpets, including guestroom carpets
  • Cleaning and refinishing floors
  • Assisting with the collection and distribution of linens
  • Completing and submitting cleaning checklists to supervisors twice per week
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly to management or the maintenance department
  • Following all workplace safety standards
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualified candidates should have:
  • A current and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs while carrying cleaning equipment
