Job description

Who We Are
Over the next few years, every financial institution will have teams of AI analysts working alongside their sharpest minds. At Endex, we're on a mission to bridge the present to the inevitable by building the most sophisticated digital coworker native in Excel. We're a team working on the frontier of agentic development and applied finance, in close collaboration with leading research labs and backed by OpenAI ($14M Raise in Aug. 2025).
With significant demand after our launch, financial firms across the country recognize agentic AI in financial modeling is the future.
About the Role
Location: New York City
Commitment: 5-6 days in-person
As Founding Designer at Endex, you'll define how financial professionals interact with AI in their most critical workflows. You'll design intuitive interfaces for agentic AI, building a design system that scales, and establishing the visual identity of a category-defining product. If you want to shape how Wall Street works with AI, this is your opportunity.
What You'll Own
  • Core Product Experience: Design the end-to-end user journey for interacting with AI agents in Excel. Create intuitive interfaces for complex workflows (prompting, iterating, reviewing AI outputs)
  • Onboarding & Activation: Craft the first-time user experience that takes someone from "what is this?" to "I can't work without this."
  • Design System: Build and maintain our design system from scratch.
  • Visual Identity: Shape Endex's brand through our product, marketing site, and collateral. Create a visual language that feels sophisticated, trustworthy, and cutting-edge
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Product to ship designs. Balance user needs with technical constraints, especially within Excel's add-in environment
  • Growth & Conversion: Design signup flows, pricing pages, and upgrade prompts that drive conversion

Who You Are
  • Product Designer: You have a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, from research and wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and shipped features
  • User-Obsessed: You deeply understand user workflows and pain points. You conduct research proactively and let insights drive your design decisions
  • Technically Fluent: You understand technical constraints and can work effectively with engineers. You know what's possible in web technologies and can design within platform limitations
  • Detail-Oriented: Your designs are polished and production-ready
  • Fast Executor: You ship quickly, and iterate based on feedback
  • Strong Communicator: You articulate design decisions clearly and can advocate for user needs across the organization

Requirements
  • 3+ years of product design experience at technology companies, ideally B2B SaaS or technical tools
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work with measurable impact
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma required)
  • Experience designing complex workflows or enterprise software

Bonus Points
  • Background in finance or financial services-you understand Excel power users and financial modeling workflows
  • Experience designing AI/ML products or agentic interfaces
  • Experience with design systems or component libraries
  • Front-end development skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
  • Experience at early-stage startups (seed to Series A)

Benefits
  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity
  • Health & dental insurance
  • Monthly wellness stipend
  • 401(k) matching
