Position Overview and Responsibilities

At Sentral, we are building a team of people-first focused individuals who thrive on going above and beyond. The Events Manager is essential to supporting our hospitality products at the property level. This role provides five-star guest service by communicating with guests prior to arrival, greeting them upon arrival and assisting them throughout their stay.

This is an in-person position located on-site of the property. This role may require weekend and evening availability based on the schedule of events.

Position Summary

The Event Manager is responsible for curating and executing elevated group events, bespoke activations, and resident-centric programming that embody the Sentral lifestyle: intentional luxury, meaningful connection, and modern hospitality. This role seamlessly blends convention services, special events, and resident experiences to create moments that foster community, drive engagement, and enhance brand loyalty within a mixed-use, boutique environment.

Serving as a key liaison between hotel operations, residential teams, partners, and guests, this position ensures every experience feels personalized, and thoughtful.

What You'll Do

Group, Convention & Hosted Experiences

  • Act as the primary contact for group and hosted event clients from contract turnover through execution
  • Translate client goals into immersive, design-forward experiences aligned with Sentral brand standards
  • Coordinate logistics including space planning, catering, AV, technology, staffing, and guest flow
  • Prepare and manage detailed event documentation, timelines, and BEOs
  • Lead pre-event alignment meetings and post-event debriefs to drive continuous improvement
  • Deliver discreet, high-touch service with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Signature Events & Brand Activations

  • Conceptualize and execute curated events, collaborations, and activations that reflect the Sentral lifestyle
  • Partner with local creators, wellness professionals, chefs, artists, and brands to create authentic experiences
  • Oversee vendor sourcing, contracting, and on-site management with a focus on quality and storytelling
  • Ensure compliance with permits, safety standards, and operational requirements
  • Measure success through engagement, feedback, and brand impact

Resident & Community Programming

  • Develop a thoughtful, year-round resident events calendar centered on connection, culture, wellness, and creativity
  • Create experiences that foster belonging and enhance the long-term resident journey
  • Collaborate with Residential Operations and Leasing to support retention, referrals, and community engagement
  • Leverage digital platforms, curated invitations, and on-property moments to promote experiences
  • Gather resident insights and adapt programming to evolving preferences

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Develop and manage event budgets with an emphasis on value, experience quality, and efficiency
  • Negotiate vendor agreements aligned with brand expectations and fiscal responsibility
  • Ensure accurate billing, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Maintain organized records, timelines, and event documentation

Leadership & Brand Stewardship

  • Lead event teams and partners with professionalism, warmth, and confidence
  • Uphold Sentral service standards and experiential philosophy across all touchpoints
  • Act as a visible brand ambassador during events, embodying the Sentral culture and aesthetic

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 46 years of experience in luxury boutique hospitality, lifestyle hotels, or mixed-use environments
  • Strong background in group events, special events, and experiential programming
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and vendor contracts
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Experience in hospitality (hotels and resorts, private luxury clubs, travel management, etc.)
  • Strong customer service track record that demonstrates an ability to make people feel cared for and supported even under stressful circumstances
  • Exceptional interpersonal and self-awareness skills, including active listening skills
  • Proficient with communication technology and quick learner of new software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for creating inclusive and respectful workplaces
