What is an events intern?

Events Interns are entry-level professionals who assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events such as conferences, meetings, and social gatherings. They typically support event coordinators and managers by performing tasks like researching venues, communicating with vendors, managing event logistics, and helping with on-site event setup and breakdown. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in the events industry, allowing interns to develop organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Events Internships are common stepping stones for those seeking a career in event planning or hospitality management.

What are some common challenges an events intern might face during large-scale event planning, and how can they effectively handle them?

Events Interns often encounter challenges such as last-minute changes, coordinating with multiple vendors, and managing tight deadlines. Effective communication, staying organized with detailed checklists, and being adaptable are key to handling these situations smoothly. Interns are encouraged to proactively ask questions, seek guidance from senior team members, and be ready to step into different support roles as needed. This experience helps build problem-solving skills and resilience, both of which are highly valued in the events industry.

Job description

About the Role

A fast-moving, pre-seed AI talent platform startup is looking for a Growth & Marketing Intern / New-Grad to help build and own its growth engine. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you'll design and run repeatable, data-driven processes across multiple channels — turning recruiting and product insights into real demand. You'll work directly alongside a lean founding team (backed by top-tier investors) with plenty of room to grow.

This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. Visa sponsorship is available.

What You'll Do
  • Own growth programs across outbound, paid acquisition, content/brand, SEO, partnerships, and events — delivering measurable outcomes end-to-end.

  • Treat every channel as a scientific process: formulate hypotheses, run A/B tests, track key metrics, and iterate.

  • Plan, execute, and optimize outbound cold email programs; manage email deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain warming, sender reputation).

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, and Google.

  • Create and distribute high-velocity content — blogs, email newsletters, LinkedIn, social posts, testimonials, case studies, and product stories — with consistent brand alignment.

  • Shape and execute an SEO strategy covering topic research, on-page optimization, and internal linking.

  • Build marketing partnerships and organize online and offline events to drive real, measurable turnout.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Proven ability to own outcomes and drive measurable impact — not just execute tasks.

  • Familiarity with paid acquisition channels (Meta, LinkedIn, Google) and the ability to plan, launch, and optimize campaigns.

  • A scientific mindset: hypothesis formulation, A/B testing, metric tracking, and iteration.

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Breadth across multiple growth/marketing domains (outbound, paid acquisition, content/brand, SEO, partnerships, and events) with the ability to run programs end-to-end.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience organizing and driving attendance for online and offline events, and managing marketing partnerships.

  • SEO expertise: topic research, on-page optimization, and internal linking strategy.

  • Experience running and optimizing cold email outbound programs, including deliverability management (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain warming, sender reputation).

  • Strong content creation skills across blogs, email, social, newsletters, testimonials, case studies, and product stories.

  • Background in recruitment, HR tech, or AI talent platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation details were not provided for this role. You'll be joining at an early stage with meaningful ownership and direct exposure to the founding team. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

This is a fully on-site role located in San Francisco, California, United States. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
