West Monroe is seeking Consulting Interns to join our Customer Strategy & Platforms team within our Technology and Experience (TechEx) Practice. As a Consulting Intern, you will work directly with clients across various industries, focusing on business process, operations, and technology platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and NetSuite to enhance their sales, marketing, customer service, eCommerce, order management, operations, and accounting functions.
As a Consulting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in areas such as strategy development, business process design, financial modeling, technology configuration and implementation, preparing you to make a meaningful impact on our clients' marketing, sales, service, accounting, and operations teams.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver business and technology solutions across Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Accounting, and Operations functions
  • Partner with client stakeholders to gather business requirements, document desired outcomes, and translate business needs into actionable solution designs
  • Conduct market research, business analysis, and data analysis to identify trends, evaluate opportunities, and support strategic recommendations
  • Participate in strategy and process design workshops to define current state and future state business processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and guiding principles
  • Analyze, redesign, and document operational workflows to improve efficiency, user experience, and business performance
  • Assist in the configuration, customization, and implementation of enterprise platforms, including ServiceNow (ITSM, CSM, and FSO), Salesforce, and NetSuite
  • Support the design and configuration of workflows, forms, automations, and basic scripting within ServiceNow, NetSuite, and Salesforce while translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects, and client stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Create business requirements, user stories, solution design documentation, process maps, and user guides
  • Perform system testing, debugging, quality assurance, unit testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality implementations
  • Support deployment activities, post implementation enhancements, and end user adoption by creating training materials and facilitating knowledge transfer
  • Assist with financial modeling and business case development to evaluate strategic initiatives and align technology investments with business objectives
  • Maintain project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across client engagements
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs
  • Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes

  • If your expected graduation date falls outside of this range or changes, you are not eligible for this internship
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., OPT, H-1B visa, TN, etc.)
  • Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office prior to your start date; our culture emphasizes team collaboration within a hybrid work model
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50%); travel expenses covered by West Monroe
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs
