CLASSIFICATION: Part Time, Non-Exempt. Benefits Eligible

COMPENSATION: $13.00 per hour, 10% rental discount, plus the ability to earn performance bonuses

POSITION SUMMARY: The Resident Life Coordinator plays a key role in creating an exceptional living experience for residents by fostering a strong sense of community and connection. This position is responsible for planning and executing resident events, managing community communications, and supporting initiatives that enhance resident satisfaction and retention.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a positive and professional brand representative for the community through peer-to-peer engagement, both on campus and at local events.
  • Implement and support property marketing strategies through social media content creation, tabling, flyering, giveaways, and local/university outreach efforts.
  • Represent the property at university-sponsored events, student organization meetings, and campus partner engagements to build strong institutional relationships.
  • Lead or assist in property tours and help guide prospects/residents through the leasing/housing placement process.
  • Support the planning and execution of resident programs and community events, including tailgates, pop-ups, wellness initiatives, and educational workshops.
  • Manage or contribute to the property's online presence by producing relevant and engaging social content and encouraging resident interaction and peer sharing.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of on- and off-site events, tailgates, pop-ups, and other promotional efforts.
  • Provide regular feedback to the onsite team regarding student preferences, market trends, and opportunities for improved engagement or service.
  • Participate in weekend and evening programming as needed to support resident events, university alignment, or community visibility.
  • Assist with roommate conflict resolution by facilitating communication, documenting concerns, and escalating issues to the Community Manager/University when necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to the Community Manager as needed, including resident files, surveys, preparing communication materials, managing event supply inventory, assisting with invoice tracking, or coordinating vendor appointments.

 EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  1-2 years of customer service and sales experience
  •  Strong communication skills
  •  Ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations
  •  Enjoy and take pride in providing excellent service
  •  Warm, friendly demeanor
  •  Basic computer skills: typing and writing ability for correspondence, memos, etc.
  •  High School Diploma or equivalent
