Job description

Summary:
Ideal candidates are highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment. They have strong business aptitude and can oversee the entire food and beverage vision and process, including training, supervising, planning, and execution. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Our team has made a conscious effort to ensure strong protocols are in place to keep you and our patrons safe, so you can focus on customer experience, camaraderie, and dining room management. This is a seasonal position, approximately June-August. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the club and its members.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the food and beverage department.
  • Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.
  • Direct and assist with setup, preparation, and execution of special events.
  • Assist the General Manager in supervising, scheduling, and developing bartenders, cooks, and beverage cart attendants.
  • Maintain cost controls and conduct monthly inventory.
  • Follow the PO buying process for food and beverage ordering.
  • Train frontline staff on quality assurance and appropriate guest service.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations.
  • Comply with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local/state laws.
  • Follow correct closing procedures and appropriate money handling practices (position is cashless).
  • Prepare food and tend bar as needed.
  • Ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen and bar at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong sales orientation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of pertinent health regulations.
  • Food and beverage experience.
  • Strong business aptitude.
  • Strong service orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
  • Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping.
