Job Title: Event Services Associate- Seasonal
Department: Group Events
Supervisor: Events Operations Manager
Supervises: None
FLSA Status: Full Time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Pay: $19.50
General Statement:
The Event Services Associate is responsible for the preparation, cleanliness and physical set-up and tear-down of corporate, social or internal events on grounds. They will also be responsible for custodial services such as cleaning the Stone House pavilion, Neely Event/Education center and the Phoenix bakery. This position is also responsible for cleaning outside event venues before or after events.
The season will run from End of Sept/ start of October through end of April.
Essential Duties:
1. Provide quality guest service to both internal and external guests by maintaining a WILD (friendly, helpful, positive and professional) working attitude and appearance.
2. Works collaboratively with Event Facilitators, rental companies, Park Rangers and other staff members to ensure event needs are met.
3. Performs cleaning, set up and tear down of Zoo/ACNC events and meeting facilities; moves tables, chairs, heaters, etc.
4. Maintenance of facilities and equipment, with the assistance of Operations staff.
5. Washes all applicable windows, cleans applicable restrooms and kitchens (indoor event venues)
6. Report all facility or equipment problems to Events Operations Manager.
7. Pulls and disposes of trash and recycled materials from event venue receptacles; washes and maintains receptacles.
8. Assist with special/fundraising events and birthdays as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
2. Previous grounds quality and/or banquet set-up experience preferred.
3. Must exhibit initiative and teamwork.
4. Able to work varied work scheduled including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
5. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
6. Ability to work independently.
7. Ability to follow written, pictorial and verbal directions.
8. Able to bend, stoop, crawl and walk on uneven surfaces.
9. Possession of a valid driver's license.
10. Ability to pass pre-employment background check, DMV check and drug test.
