Job Summary/Basic Function
The Student Community Services Intern will work alongside the Office of Student Community Services to support a variety of programs, events, and initiatives that connect Shepherd University students with the campus and local community. The intern will work closely with the Coordinator of Student Community Services and may assist with different projects throughout the year depending on the needs of the office, upcoming events, and the student's interests and strengths.
Responsibilities:
-Assist with planning and preparing for events and programs
-Help with event setup, registration, supplies, activities, and breakdown
-Promote office programs, events, and volunteer opportunities to Shepherd University students
-Assist with creating flyers, social media posts, graphics, and other promotional materials
-Assist with the planning and promotion of Relay For Life of Shepherd University
-Support the Relay For Life student leadership board with meetings, events, activities, and other projects
-Help promote Relay For Life events and opportunities to students, campus organizations and departments
Office hours will be required and based off your current class schedule. Work outside of office hours may be required as well. This position is designed to be flexible and will allow the intern to gain experience across multiple areas of Student Community Services and Student Affairs.
Responsibilities may vary throughout the semester based on upcoming events, office priorities, and the intern's interests and skills.
