Are you a hospitality professional with a passion for flawless event execution and team leadership? The company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Event Services Supervisor to join our Banquets department. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be the driving force behind exceptional guest experiences, overseeing hourly banquet staff and ensuring every event is executed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, direct, and support hourly banquet staff during daily operations, ensuring adherence to service standards and company policies.
  • Lead pre-event briefings to communicate event details, staff assignments, and guest expectations to the banquet team.
  • Monitor event setup, service execution, and breakdown to ensure all functions are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Coordinate with event planners, kitchen staff, and other departments to facilitate smooth communication and operational flow throughout each event.
  • Address guest concerns and service issues promptly and professionally, resolving problems to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Evaluate staff performance during shifts, providing real-time coaching, feedback, and recognition to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of staffing, event timelines, and incident reports, escalating issues to senior management as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards throughout all banquet areas before, during, and after events.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in banquet operations, food and beverage service, or a related hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused under pressure during high-volume events.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light event setup and breakdown as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within a hotel, convention center, or large-scale event venue.
  • Familiarity with banquet event orders (BEOs) and event management systems.
  • Food handler certification or equivalent training (e.g., ServSafe).
