Event Registration Manager information

What is an event registration manager?

An Event Registration Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the registration process for events such as conferences, trade shows, and seminars. They manage attendee sign-ups, process payments, coordinate with vendors, and ensure a smooth check-in experience. Their duties often include setting up online registration systems, troubleshooting issues, maintaining accurate records, and providing customer service to attendees. Event Registration Managers play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring the logistics of attendee management run efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an event registration manager?

To thrive as an Event Registration Manager, you need expertise in event coordination, database management, and customer service, usually backed by a degree in hospitality, business, or a related field. Familiarity with event management software (such as Cvent or Eventbrite), CRM systems, and spreadsheet tools is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication help you manage attendee experiences and resolve issues proactively. These skills ensure seamless registration processes, high attendee satisfaction, and the overall success of events.

Job Description

The Opportunity

This is a client-facing, strategy-focused role with a strong emphasis on events and engagement. As a Marketing Account Manager at CLEAResult, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading marketing initiatives and events from strategy through execution while helping drive the adoption of energy-efficient solutions.

In this role, you'll manage client relationships, develop integrated marketing campaigns, and oversee the promotion and execution of both in-person and virtual experiences-including networking events, industry workshops, lunch-and-learns, and other key touchpoints.

You'll be the day-to-day partner clients depend on, someone who understands their business objectives, navigates competing priorities, and delivers creative, data-driven solutions that generate results. Internally, you'll collaborate closely with Program Outreach, Creative, and Analytics teams to develop and execute integrated campaigns that exceed client expectations and drive measurable impact.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, can balance multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment, and takes pride in precision and accuracy.

Your Setup

This is a hybrid role - you'll work remotely most of the week with one day per week in our Portland, OR office for team collaboration and client meetings. Candidates must reside in Oregon; preference given to those in the greater Portland area.

What You'll Do

Campaign & Account Management

  • Lead end-to-end marketing campaign management - from go-to-market strategy through execution - ensuring on-time delivery and measurable impact.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive strategic guidance and building long-term trusted relationships.
  • Develop and implement channel marketing strategies that engage the customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Program Outreach, Creative, and Analytics to deliver integrated, data-driven marketing solutions.
  • Drive account growth and revenue optimization through strategic planning and thoughtful resource allocation.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and delivery of client revenue tied to labor hours and direct costs.
  • Track and report on performance metrics contributing to agency KPIs including client satisfaction and program profitability targets.

Event Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing for a calendar of program events - including networking events, workshops, lunch-and-learns, and virtual webinars - that drive engagement and program participation.
  • Manage event marketing promotion coordination, materials production, registration, and post-event follow-up.
  • Develop event-specific content and presentations in partnership with the Creative team, tailored to audiences.
  • Measure event ROI and stakeholder engagement outcomes, reporting results to clients and informing future event strategy.
What You Bring

Must-Have

  • 5+ years of client service leadership in marketing, advertising, or communications.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing marketing for events.
  • Experience marketing to or through the commercial construction ecosystem - including architects, engineers, contractors, or developers.
  • Demonstrated success in channel marketing, particularly building and activating networks.
  • Strong project management skills: you can juggle multiple deadlines simultaneously without losing momentum.
  • Comfortable presenting and engaging in-person.
  • Must reside in Oregon (Portland area preferred)

Nice-to-Have

  • Direct experience with utility energy efficiency programs, demand-side management, or new construction incentive programs.
  • Familiarity with the commercial building design and permitting process, including how energy codes and utility incentives intersect.
  • Experience with marketing platforms and marketing analytics tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, event management, or a related field.
Why This Program

New Commercial Construction is one of the highest-leverage opportunities in energy efficiency - a well-timed intervention at the design stage can deliver energy savings for the life of a building. Relationships are central to how programs succeed, and events are one of the most powerful tools for building them. You'll create the moments - at events, workshops, and industry gatherings - where the right people connect and commit to better building practices.
